A memory that comes to mind when I think about Liollio is the night we were all leaving an NC State basketball game. Liollio was in our friend Jennifer Rocha’s car, and I was in my son’s (Alex Ford) Jeep. Traffic was bumper to bumper, and we weren’t moving. I looked over and noticed that there was a big, white, dead cat on the side of the road. I thought it would be a great idea to put it on the hood of Jennifer’s car. It was so dead stiff I could pick it up by the tail and it would lay flat. I’ll never forget his face when he saw me do this! He had to get out and remove it before she would drive off, holding up traffic even more. But instead of just tossing it to the side, he thought it best to sail it like a frisbee into the woods.
For his his next birthday I made him a road kill scooper.
